A lot of new players do not know that they can change regions (starting zones) when they start playing. This is important to know when you want to join an alliance region or in a region where your friend is located. When it comes to changing a server with an existing account, that is not possible. It’s only possible by creating a new account.
How to Change Region
Changing regions in Age of Empires is extremely simple, but you have to do some requirements before you change regions. The first requirement is that you have to complete at least chapter 7 in the quests. That can be completed extremely fast in a few hours.
The second one is that you must be without an alliance. When you are in an alliance, the game will not allow you to change regions if that alliance is not in the region where you want to relocate. The third one is that all your troops must be in the city. Not a single one can be outside farming or fighting.
Once you have all the requirements, zoom out and zoom in to the targeted region and find a good location to teleport. Once you find a location, simply hold the right click on the spot where you want to teleport. After a few seconds, the teleport button will pop up. Simply confirm teleportation, that is.
You can go to your inventory and click on relocator, but that is inefficient because you have to drag your city across the map and may not teleport in the region you wanted.
How to Change Server
Unfortunately, there is no option to change servers in Age of Empires Mobile. Most city-building games have a migration option that allows you to change servers, so there is a high chance that developers will implement that option in Age of Empires Mobile. When that option comes, we will update the guide with all information about migration.
The only option that you are left with is to create a new account. If you already have a developed account, then we recommend that you link your email or social media profile so you do not lose progress when you are creating a new account.
One huge downside of Age of Empires mobile is that if your friend is playing for some time, there is a high chance that you will not be able to join him. The server will become full. Once it is full, you are not able to create new accounts on it. So the only option that is left is for your friend to create a new account. We highly hope that developers will implement a migration system so you can change serves how you want.
