Age of Empires Mobile Auto Battle Guide

Age of Empires Mobile Auto Battle Guide

Age of Empires Mobile has features that most popular city-building games do not have, and one of them is auto-battle. When you set auto-battle, your troops will attack until you run out of stamina. This is an extremely great feature that saves a lot of time. There are a few parameters that you have to set before activating auto-battle, which can be overwhelming if you are a new player.

How to Set Up Auto Battle

How to Set Up Auto Battle

Setting auto-battle is extremely simple, so follow all the steps.

  • Choose the level and type of barbarian.
  • Set Minimum Units in Troop and Hospital Capacity
  • Select single or multiple marches.
  • Click on Auto Battle.

Choosing Type and Level of Barbarians: First, you have to choose what type and level of barbarians you will attack. If you are attacking with a solo march, then choose a lower level of barbarians until you get strong heroes. If you are attacking with multiple matches, then you can choose higher-level barbarians.

What you have to know is that higher-level barbarians will give you more rewards and XP, so it is worth sending more marches. The downside is that you get only 50 Alliance coins and 50 Alliance funds per barbarian, not per march. So if you send 5 or 3 or 1, you will get the same amount of Alliance Coins and Alliance funds, while other rewards are per march sent. So if you need Alliance coins and Alliance funds, it is best to attack each barbarian with a single march.

When it comes to the type of barbarian, choose it based on what your team counters. So if you have archers, it is best to attack swordsmen and barbarians because you counter them.

  • Archers counter Swordsmen.
  • Swordsmen counter Pikemen
  • Pikemen counter Cavalry
  • Cavalry counter Archers

Minimum Units in Troop and Hospital Capacity

Minimum Units in Troop and Hospital Capacity

These two settings are extremely important to understand. The term “Min Units in Troop” refers to the minimum number of troops your march can have compared to its initial configuration. To explain it better, let’s say your march has 100,000 troops, and you set it at 80%. This implies that the march will proceed even if the number of troops falls below 100,000.

The hospital capacity setting is most important. You do not want to fill up your hospital, so your troops die. It would be such a waste. That is why you should never have these settings at 100%. The reason is that, let’s say, your hospital is 90% full and you attack again. When it reaches 100%, it will stop attacking and recall troops, but the barbarians will still continue to attack. Because there is no more room in the hospital, you will start losing troops.

This is why we always recommend keeping the hospital capacity at 70–80%, and the minimum units in the troop, depending on the number of troops you have, can also be left at 70–80%.

Attack Attempts

You can choose how many times you want to attack via auto-battle. This depends on your stamina and the number of marches you use.

How to select multiple Marches

I have seen new players who do not know how to choose multiple marches, but it is extremely simple. On the left side, you will see the option Multi Select. Click on it. When you click on it, the game will automatically choose all 5 marches, but if you don’t want to use all 5, then simply click on heroes that you do not want to use. After that, simply click Auto battle.
