Citadel Facility is a late-game feature in Age of Empires Mobile, where players can research various facilities to gain buffs. These buffs will significantly increase the strength of your units, heroes, and overall account. The Citadel Facility is also where you can research the Mercenary Camp, allowing you to hire Mercenary units.
Overall, it is a great feature, but it will take some time to reach the max level if you are a free-to-play player.
How to Research a Facility
First, navigate to the Citadel Facility located in your Castle. There, you will find all the Facilities available for research. Click on one and press “Upgrade.” To upgrade, you will need Technique Points and prerequisites such as City Hall level 30.
How to Get Technique Points
Technique Points are currently hard to obtain due to the limited number of ways to acquire them. You can get Technique Points through:
- Events: Currently, there is only one event where you can earn Technique Points by completing tasks. The tasks are not difficult, but the event only rewards 200 Technique Points.
- Exploration: You can obtain a decent amount of Technique Points by completing exploration tasks. If you do not see tasks offering Technique Points, it means your Exploration level is too low, so make sure to increase it.
- Shop: Inside the game shop, you will find various packs and bundles containing technique points that you can purchase with real money. I do not recommend that, but if you can afford it, feel free to purchase them.
Hopefully, the developers will add more ways to obtain Technique Points in the future.
