In Age of Empires Mobile troops are used for doing various activities like gathering and fighting. Currently, there are 4 different types of units: Swordsmen, Archer, Cavalry, and Pikemen. Each type also has 7 different tiers. Each unit type has different stats, counters, heroes, civilizations, special units, etc. All this is crucial to know, especially if you are doing a lot of PVP.
Unit Counter
In Age of Empires Mobile, there is a counter system. For example, archers counter swordsmen; what does that mean? It means that Archers will deal more damage to Swordsmen while Swordsmen will deal less damage. So archers will deal more damage and take less damage when they are fighting against Swordsmen. The difference in damage is not small. That is why you should always pay attention to the counter system, no matter if you are doing PVP or PVE content. Special Units
Each civilization has its Special Units. These special units will have much higher stats, but they will also cost more to train. Special units are not yet in the game, but they were inside it for some time when you went to choose civilization. When developers release them inside a game, we will update the guide.
Swordsmen
Swordsmen are the unit with the highest defense stat. They are strong against Pikemen and weak against Archers. Civilizations for Swordsmen are Byzantine and Japanese.
